Sending Terri Home :(

On Sunday we took Teresa to the airport so she could go back home to Germany. I'm pretty sure all of us were crying by the time she left. After living with her for six months, it's strange not having her around anymore to watch a movie with me, or to help me with dinner, or to make many delicious desserts (We all enjoyed that a lot ;) ). When we sent her to California we knew we would see her again. But this time we sent her home. Hopefully somebody in our family gets the chance to go to Germany in the future to see her again :)

Teresa,
We miss you so much! We have made so many silly mistakes like putting an extra plate at the dinner table, and going to your room to see if you could help us with something and so many more! Even though we miss you, we are so happy that you are with your family again. We are so grateful that they would share an amazing girl like you with us :) Thanks for all the good times!
We love you!
Love, Rebecca

Mmmm... Summer Rain

I love the rain. I always have. But there is something special about a summer rain. I don't know how to describe it, but for some reason it makes me feel like the world is so wonderful and it helps me see the real beauty of it. It rained today and I loved walking from seminary back to the school, feeling the little drops on my skin. I am looking forward to so many more summer storms this year :)

Anybody Up For Swimming?

Um, not me. Don't get me wrong, I love to swim. Well if I could swim. So maybe I should say I like to relax in the pool :) But maybe this year I might be able to learn how... emphasis on the maybe. For some reason I just can't swim which really stinks :( But oh well, life goes on ;)

Ugh Summer! :(

Winter has always been my favorite season. We are fast approaching summer and, like always, it's a bad/good situation. Bad because it's so freaking hot and I hate it. Today it's supposed to be ninety six degrees and even at six in the morning I'm burning. It's good because it's a break from school. School is finally almost out and I cannot wait! It's also good because we can go swimmming. But that doesn't really mean anything since we can swim in winter. And it's inside in the winter so there is no possible chance of getting sunburned. So when you think about it, winter comes out on top. The school people should just split summer vacation in half and leave one and a half months for summer and move one and a half months to winter. I would be soooo much happier during the winter break :)

96 degrees! :(

Ice Skating

I have only been ice skating once in my life. So it would be an accurate guess to think that I am not particularly good. Last night was a multi-Stake priest/laurel activity. And we were going ice skating. Last time I went I enjoyed myself very much. So I was actually excited to go! When we got on the ice it was very crowded and I couldn't fit on the wall. I just went out and started to try skating. Of course I wasn't very balanced since I hadn't been on for very long. A kid was doing spins and stuff and he kinda ran right into me. We both fell on our butts and I cut my hand. Great first five minutes huh? It wasn't a bad cut so I just got up and kept going. After a while I was actually able to go an okay speed. Not too fast, not too slow.

The last period I had yesterday was Biology. There's a boy in my class (for the purpose of the story I'll call him Bobby) and he doesn't exactly like to do his work. He often steals my paper and copies my work. Well yesterday we had a huge assignment and I spent almost the whole class working on it while he just talked to his friends. I was done with about fifteen minutes left in class. I kind of hid my paper so Bobby couldn't copy my answers (it was starting to bug me that he was copying everything). Since Bobby spent the whole class talking, he didn't get any work done so he got an F. I guess he wasn't too happy with that. Now, to tie this into ice skating...

Bobby is in my Stake so he was at the ice skating rink. He was standing against the wall in the rink when it was about time to go. I was going pretty fast and he thought it would be funny to trip me when I skated by. So he stuck his foot out and dug the back of the skate into the ice right before I passed him. I didn't have enough time to swerve out of the way and I tripped. I landed on the right side of my body, right on my phone. When I looked up at Bobby, him and his cohorts were laughing at me and only one of them was decent enough to help me up and ask if I was okay. When I got home I was sore, but that was expected. Today I looked at my bruises and they are absolutely hideous. I have a huge, dark bruise extending from the middle of my rib cage on my right side to my hip. I have a bump on my elbow, and more icky bruises on my knees. It kills to even walk so school was even more torturous than normal today.

I was satisfied this morning when I noticed that Bobby skipped our P.E. class today. I saw him at lunch too and he turned around and walked away. I don't know why he is avoiding me though. Since he is in my fitness class he knows how weak I am so he shouldn't be afraid. And if he feels bad he should just apologize. Oh well. But I think I might hold off on ice skating for a while...
