How Embarrassing!

Okay so I'm in fitness this semester (again. Sigh.) and it really isn't too bad so far! I was completely shocked, but then again it makes sense. Last semester my class had 50 or so students and two teachers. This semester we have 50 students and ONE teacher. Isn't that sad?! I feel really bad for him because he seems stressed every moment in that class.

Anyways, lately we have been doing a lot of weight room things (I still need to work on my bench press. My teacher wants me to get to 100 pounds by the end of the year... yikes). Until Wednesday when we ran the mile, we hadn't really done much. And of course, after we had one extreme work out day, the rest of the week had to match it. So the last few days have been intense in P.E.

Yesterday we were upstairs doing a whole bunch of different things. Near the end of the period we were doing squats. There were four lines and we stopped on each of them, the first one doing five squats and descending in number the further we get down the gym. Since we did squats all the time last semester, I can do them correctly. Well I guess I was doing them too correctly because when I went down one of the times, my pants ripped. They ripped! Right in the butt, too! So I started being a little more relaxed in my squats for the rest of the period. And I tried to keep my shirt over my behind.

When I got into the locker room I took my pants off and examined the tear. It actually didn't tear all the way, thank goodness! But yes, that was still a little embarrassing. So all period today in fitness I tried not to stretch it anymore, and did it successfully :)

"Wow, some people need lives"

Okay I just have a few short things to say. The title, "Wow, some people need lives" and that some people need to stop being stupid. I think that covers it all.

Making Butterflies!!

Okay so I share my bedroom with my sister and she wanted her side to have a theme (since mine has one). For Christmas Chrissie got a butterfly bedspread and sheets. She decided she wanted to make her theme simply butterflies. Since my theme is princesses, I have a little princess mobile above my bed and Chrissie wanted one similar to that, only with butterflies. I went online and printed out some butterflies and traced seven of them onto pieces of paper. Chrissie and I started coloring them a few days ago and we finally hung them up today!

Here are Chrissie's Butterflies:

Here are my Butterflies:

And these are all of them together (Chrissie's are on the top and mine are on the bottom). They turned out so well!

I am more than perfectly content!

Okay so I was getting a little bored of my last blog background because it just wasn't me. So this morning I asked Sami to make a background for me and this is it! I am so excited! This one is my favorite one that I've had so far (maybe that's because it's full of princesses!) and every time I see it, I am so happy! It is so colorful and... well, happy! So I think I'll be sticking with this one for a while. I may change the colors of the text and stuff around (I didn't do too well on the colors this time through) but the background is staying :D

How Many Hicks Does It Take?

Hahaha okay so I went to a little party at Meridian the other day with kids from FFA. Right when I walked in a kid started to Emilea and I couldn't help but laugh. He was talking about how he was tired and stuff and to me he kinda looked like he was hungover but he was just tired. Anyway, we got pizza, pop, and a table and watched Journey to the Center of the Earth. The movie was playing through the computer and showed on the smartboard through the projector. Partway through, the windows screensaver showed up so a kid walked over to the computer to fix it. When he got the screensaver to go away, the movie was minimized and he wanted to make it full again. He was pressing a button that he apparently thought made the screen bigger, but it didn't do anything. He kept pressing it, expecting it to have a different outcome (that's my dad's definition of "stupid" by the way. Just thought I'd mention that). Since he couldn't get it another kid walked up. He couldn't get it either so another one walked up.

So my question is: How many hicks does it take to maximize a screen on the computer?
Answer: Three.

Question Two: How many hicks does it take to combined get over a 300 score in bowling? Answer: Five.

There were five boys bowling next to us and they weren't all that grand at bowling... but not many people in the world are. I think the best score one of them got was ninety and the next best was seventy and then fifty (I don't remember the other two). Whoohoo!

Question Three: How many Meridianites does it take to have a fun time bowling?
Answer: Just three :)

Bowling was so much fun! I had a blast with all my new hick friends ;)

Safe at Home

Teresa arrived safely at the airport last night at around 1 o'clock. Her flight was supposed to land at 11, but there was some delay in Chicago and her flight was late. After a very exhausting trip, she is probably very relieved to finally be here. We stayed up until 3 talking and getting ready for bed and stuff. And let me tell you, it was so hard getting up this morning for school after just three hours of sleep. But I very much enjoyed today, knowing I would be home shortly. We are all so grateful for Teresa to be here!
