Elementary Aide!

Today was my first day of Elementary Teacher Aide and I love it so much! Just on the first day I had so much fun! I really like the teacher I work with and the class. I'm working in the second grade and there are three kids from my ward in that class (only one of them recognized me though). Just from one day I have so many stories!
So there's this girl in the class that's really attached to me already. When the teacher gave the math lesson she asked me to walk around the classroom to make sure everybody was understanding what was going on. When I walked past this one girl she asked me for help. It was clear she understood what to do, so I'm guessing she wanted an excuse to talk to me. When I was in the middle of helping her with math she said, "Did you know that you look really pretty today?" I giggled and said thank you and continued helping her with math. Then it was time to clean up so the kids could go out to recess and she asked me if I could go out and play with her. I told her I had to talk to her teacher and she conspiratorially whispered, "Ask the teacher if you can play!" I actually went and asked the teacher if she needed help during recess preparing for the next thing and she said yes so I went back to the little girl and told her to go play and if I was allowed I would go outside later. When she came back in from recess she said, "Miss Spencer, I had so much fun at recess!" and she gave me a huge hug! For the rest of the day the children did stations and she wanted me to go with her to her station, which was painting. I asked the teacher if I could supervise the paint station and she said yes so I went and sat by the girl. She started painting and saw the my ID card that I have to wear at the Elementary School. In my picture I was wearing an orange shirt and today I was wearing an orange shirt (not really a coincidence since I have five orange shirts) and she talked to me about how it was funny that my picture wasn't taken today but I had an orange shirt on both times. Then she went off on an adjacent and said, "You should wear a cute outfit tomorrow. YOU SHOULD WEAR A DRESS!!!! Tomorrow is picture day and since we are all going to look cute you should too!" Well, I don't wear dresses unless I have to. So I didn't make any promises but I told her I would think about it :)
Today was so much fun and I am so excited to go back tomorrow!
